Culture: Monument

Rundetaarn

The Round Tower is the oldest functioning observatory, and this has been looked stars ever since Christian 4 built it in 1642. Today it is a long time ago scientists left the big telescope, but the observatory is frequently used by amateur astronomers and the tower's many guests.
Around the Observatory runs an outdoor platform overlooking Copenhagen's Latin Quarter.
The road to the top goes through the hvilkalkede spiral staircase, which also leads to the old Library in the middle of the tower, where there have been exhibitions, concerts and events since 1987.

The good points:

The view is really beautiful
There is not stairs! (Just 6 or 7 a the end)
There is a library with lovely expositions and lovely concerts.

The bad points:

When the wheater is bad,
of course there is nothing. (For view)
